Mr. Anil Nair
MD, Avaya GlobalConnect Ltd.
Anil Nair is MD of Avaya GlobalConnect Ltd (AGC). In this role, Anil is responsible for AGC’s business that includes IP Telephony, Contact Centers and Unified Communication. AGC has an employee base of 700 people across India and Australia. AGC is listed on Indian bourses and is a subsidiary of US based global communication major Avaya Inc.
Anil has been with AGC since 1997, initially as its sales leader and later in an expanded capacity as President. Much of the 44% average growth over 10 years that Avaya has enjoyed in India and its market dominance and leadership is a direct result of his efforts and his aggressive fact based, collaborative leadership style.
Prior to joining AGC, Anil was with Bradma India (a Tata Company) from 1980 to 1986 and from 1989 to 1997. At Bradma, Anil ran the Retail Automation business and the marketing operations for Industrial Marking Systems, Banking and Postal Automation Systems. Between 1986 and 1989, Anil worked with Megaware Computers Ltd., where his team pioneered dealerised PC sales and set up a franchised chain of Computer Education Centers.
With an MBA from XIM Bhubaneshwar and Advanced Management Program from ISB-Kellogg Business School, Chicago, Anil’s 28 years of professional experience spans Business Automation, IT and Enterprise Communication, much of this in executive leadership positions at Tata group of companies.
His special areas of interest include company turnarounds and business analytics. He is an avid reader of business books and journals.
Anil firmly believes that technology must enable business value for the end customer and solve their business problems. He endorses a simple rule of "No ROI - No Sale" and has spearheaded various initiatives and strategies within the company around that.
